Police: Handgun Pointed at Mineola Man's Head

Two Hispanic men allegedly threaten resident on Grant Avenue and Horton Highway Tuesday night.

Two Hispanic men threatened a Mineola resident Tuesday night, pointing a handgun at his head as he sat in his car, according to Nassau Police.

According to detectives, at about 11:48 p.m. Tuesday night, two unknown male subjects approached a 50-year old man while he was sitting in his vehicle at the intersection of Grant Avenue and Horton Highway.

The first suspect pulled a black semi-automatic handgun from his waistband and placed it to the man’s head. The man swatted the gun away from his head and both suspects fled the scene eastbound on Grant Avenue towards Mineola Boulevard. No injuries were reported.

The first suspect is described as a light-skinned Hispanic man in his early 20's with a medium build, 5’8”, short black curly hair, Portuguese accent and wearing a plaid short sleeve shirt and dark pants.

The second suspect is described as a light skinned Hispanic man in his early 20’s, with a medium build, 5’6”, close cut blonde hair, wearing a white shirt and dark pants.
