Suffolk Police Arrest Mineola Man for Jumping Bail

Suspect allegedly missed court date relating to 2009 possession of cocaine.

Suffolk County Police arrested a Mineola man who allegedly jumped bail and did not appear at scheduled court dates on charges for criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Second squad detectives arrested Robert Beebe, 36, on January 22, 2009 after he was found to be in possession of a loaded 9 mm handgun and more than four ounces of crack-cocaine. Warrants for his arrest were issued after Beebe failed to appear at his scheduled court dates.

Second Squad detectives, with the assistance of the U.S. Marshals Service NY/NJ Fugitive Task Force, located Beebe at 243 Roslyn Road, where he had recently relocated to, and placed him under arrest.

Beebe was charged with Bail Jumping in the first degree and will be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on November 2.
