Speaking at a meeting of the on June 6 at the , superintendent of public works Tom Rini reported that all components of the project had completed their design phases and that he would be meeting with the county shortly to discuss the interconnection into the recharge basin for the “Sheridan Bypass,” otherwise known as the .

Rini said that he had also seen the designs for the Town of North Hempstead’s recharge basin on the village’s land.

I believe the design is done now, now it’s the coordination and to see how many utilities have to be offset in order to accommodate that pipe.”

He met with village engineers during the week of June 11 to set up a meeting with the county and about getting the project out to the bidding process as soon as possible.

I'm sorry Marie but there is no information about when the project will actually start. TheRead More developer had requested an extension from the board at a previous meeting and we do not know of a firm start date. When we do receive one, we will most certainly publish it.
