Nicolello Wins Ninth Legislative District Race

Nicolello was unofficially declared the winner, gets ninth term.

, R-New Hyde Park won the race for the ninth legislative district according to an unofficial tally on Tuesday night.

According to the Nassau County Board of Elections, Nicolello received 73 percent of the vote with 68 out of 69 precincts reporting at about 1:30 a.m.

Nicolello has served nine terms in this position. He has been part of the legislature since its inception in 1996.

On his Facebook page, Nicolello thanked his supporters, saying “it is an honor to represent you in county government. The county continues to face a host of difficult problems, which have been many years in the making. I will continue to make the tough decisions to restore the county's finances and look forward to the challenge of solving these problems in a way that protects the people of Nassau County. Thank you again for giving me the privilege of serving another two year term.”

I'm sorry Marie but there is no information about when the project will actually start. TheRead More developer had requested an extension from the board at a previous meeting and we do not know of a firm start date. When we do receive one, we will most certainly publish it.

Looking for info when project will begin
