Mineola village offices will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 22, 2012, for the observance of Thanksgiving Day.
There will be no collections on Thursday.
The holiday collection schedule for this week is as follows:
- If your normal collection days are Tuesday and Friday, your collection schedule will remain unchanged.
- Compost, Recycling and Rubbish collection will remain unchanged.
- Newspaper collection will be on Friday November 25, 2011 this week.
- Residents and businesses are reminded not to leave trash on the curb over the holiday weekend.
Regular sanitation schedules resumed shortly after Hurricane Sandy and the subsequent Nor’easter and are currently in effect. Trash must be contained under normal regulations. Debris such as trees, branches, and garden waste, must be properly bundled and placed to the curb on appropriate days in accordance with regular village sanitation requirements.
