Residents who want to learn how to protect themselves from identity theft can attend a free Nassau County Bar Association seminar, “Identity Theft: Will the Real Me Please Stand Up?” on Monday, November 7, 2011, 7 p.m.
At this free seminar, attendees will learn more about:
- who is vulnerable to identity theft
- how victims are targeted
- how to protect yourself from identity theft
- what you are liable for if your identity is stolen
- what you can do to get your identity back
Nassau County Assistant District Attorney Andrew Weiss, the Deputy Chief for the Economic Crimes Bureau, and Certified ID Theft Risk Management Specialist Ester Horowitz, managing director at M2Power, Merrick, will address the seminar and answer questions from the audience.
