Winthrop-University Hospital Presents a Lecture for Women: Sleep - It's Good for Your Health

Over 100 million Americans fail to get enough quality sleep. Come learn how to get the rest you need, and if it’s possible that you might have a treatable sleep disorder.

“Inspiring Women,” the Women’s Wellness Initiative at Winthrop-University Hospital, invites you to learn the facts about sleep at a free educational event, “Sleep – It’s Good for Your Health,” on Thursday, June 9, 2011, at 5:00 p.m. The program will include a tour of Winthrop’s luxurious Sleep Disorders Center facility, which includes private, five-star “hotel-style” sleep rooms for evaluating and diagnosing sleep difficulties.

Qanta Ahmed, MD, and Shalinee Chawla, MD, both board certified in Sleep Disorders Medicine and members of the Sleep Disorders Center Team in the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Winthrop, will explain everything you need to know about sleep, including how you can get a better night’s rest, and the evaluation process for diagnosing and treating sleep disorders. A question and answer period will be included.
