Hampton Students Make Donation to Winthrop Hospital

Members of K-Kids club raised about $230 for Child Life Center.

Members of the K-Kids Club at in the Mineola School District recently presented a check to the local Child Life Center at .

As a result of students’ efforts selling stampers and pencils for Valentine’s Day, the K-Kids were able to raise approximately $230, which will go towards the purchase of crafts and art supplies for the center.

The K-Kids are run by school nurse Lois Haque and first-grade teacher Andrea Romano.

Responsible for making children’s time in the hospital a little easier and more fun, Nicole Almeida, Director of the Child Life Center, accepted the donation on behalf of the center.

“The kids at the hospital will really appreciate this,” she said of the donation.

I'm sorry Marie but there is no information about when the project will actually start. TheRead More developer had requested an extension from the board at a previous meeting and we do not know of a firm start date. When we do receive one, we will most certainly publish it.
