Third and fourth-grade students at in the Mineola School District recently participated in an anti-bullying workshop led by the ninth-grade upperclassmen from the .

As part of a service-learning project, the high school students organized a complete lesson plan centered on anti-bullying, read a book with student and led discussion groups on how to handle a bully.

Much of the workshop focused on being an “upstander” – a person who speaks up for someone they witness being bullied, rather than of a bystander, and served as reinforcement to anti-bullying tactics discussed throughout the year in the classroom.

I'm sorry Marie but there is no information about when the project will actually start. TheRead More developer had requested an extension from the board at a previous meeting and we do not know of a firm start date. When we do receive one, we will most certainly publish it.
