Mineola Marching Band Takes Second Place in Syracuse
Mustangs marching band takes No. 2 spot at 2013 New York State Field Band Championship.
The Mineola High School Marching Band participated in the New York State Field
Band Championship at the Carrier Dome in Syracuse on Oct. 27.
Competing against seven other bands in its class, Mineola placed second with a score of 81.25 – missing first place by only .05 points. Marching band members performed with grace, serving as true ambassadors for the district.
They returned home to a warm welcome from cheering parents, school administrators and the village mayor, as well as the Mineola Fire Department throwing confetti.
