Mineola School Budget Passes

Mineola voters approved an $88 million budget on Tuesday for the 2014-15 school year.

With a final tally of 760 to 328 in favor, residents within the Mineola School District can expect to see a 1.46 percent increase in their collective tax levy in the following year. The budget falls within the tax levy capital limit.  

In the race for school board seats, Nicole Matzer received 759 votes and Margaret Ballantyne Mannion  picked up 751 votes. Both ran unopposed.
