Mineola Students Celebrate Healthy Food Medal with Broccoli Rob

Performer puts on workshop for students stressing importance of nutrition.

Third and fourth-grade students at Jackson Avenue School helped to celebrate the district’s receipt of the Bronze Medal Nutrition Award from the Healthier U.S. School Challenge program with a special performance from Broccoli Rob.

“Rob” presented students with an interactive and fun lesson on the importance of fruit and vegetables in their diets.

“A good eater is a good reader,” he told kids.

Broccoli Rob’s visit celebrated not only the school’s nutrition award but National School Lunch Week.

I'm sorry Marie but there is no information about when the project will actually start. TheRead More developer had requested an extension from the board at a previous meeting and we do not know of a firm start date. When we do receive one, we will most certainly publish it.
