Scenes from the 2012 Mineola Homecoming Parade

A collection of photos from the 2012 Mineola High School Homecoming.

It’s always difficult to follow up a big anniversary year – especially when it was your 50th. The members of the Mineola High School Class of 2013 had a tall task ahead of them for this year’s homecoming day parade – the 31st time it had been held – especially considering the 2012 version celebrated the high school’s 50th anniversary.

This year the senior chose the simple theme of “Mustang Pride,” including a number of the classic namesake Ford muscle cars in the procession down Jericho Turnpike from the high school to Roslyn Road, down Westbury Avenue to Union Street and finally to Hampton Stadium where the Mustangs would face Locust Valley.

The 2012 Homecoming Court featured seniors Malcolm Brown as the Homecoming King and Natalie Kain as Homecoming Queen.

The Junior Princess was Kristyn Velez while Ana Arango was elected princess for the sophomores. Angela Steinmann was crowned Freshman Princess.

I'm sorry Marie but there is no information about when the project will actually start. TheRead More developer had requested an extension from the board at a previous meeting and we do not know of a firm start date. When we do receive one, we will most certainly publish it.
