Chaminade’s Lannan Inks Phillies Deal

Long Beach native John Lannan signs Major League deal with Philadelphia.

Chaminade High School graduate John Lannan has signed a one year, $2.5 million contract to pitch for the Philadelphia Phillies next season.

The Long Beach native and left-handed pitcher played for the Washington Nationals for parts of the last six seasons. He has a 42-52 lifetime record. He spent most of 2012 in the minor leagues, though he went 4-1 while pitching in Washington this year.

Lannan will compete in spring training for a spot in Philadelphia's starting rotation.

I'm sorry Marie but there is no information about when the project will actually start. TheRead More developer had requested an extension from the board at a previous meeting and we do not know of a firm start date. When we do receive one, we will most certainly publish it.
