Mineola Portuguese Soccer Receives Keys to the Village
New York State amateur soccer champions honored by local officials.
After being , the honors continued for the Mineola Portuguese Soccer Club as the players and coaches received the Keys to the Village from and members of the .
Nassau , R-New Hyde Park, also presented the players with citations at the Mineola Portuguese Club.
Team President Marco Dafonte thanked the elected officials, including state Sen. Jack Martins for all there support and dedication to helping youth and amateur sports succeed in Nassau County.

“The Village of Mineola as a whole are amateur Champions of New York this year,” Team Captain George Spanos said, thanking thanked the community and the players for all their hard work in the 2011 season.
