Dorothy Fey passed away peacefully on Friday, Oct. 18, 2013 at the age of 86 at the Phoenix Assisted Living Facility in Cary, North Carolina. She was born Sept. 25, 1927 to Bridgett and James Philpott in Newfoundland Canada.
Dorothy married David Robert Fey on October 30, 1949 and became a US citizen Nov. 18, 1960.
Before she moved to Apex NC, she resided in Sparta, New Jersey and Mineola, NY.
Dorothy is survived by her sons David Fey Jr, his wife Beany Murphy, Walter Fey and his wife Karen; her grandchildren Mariel, Daniel, Emily and Katie. She is also survived by her brother Bart and sister Patsy.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband David Fey on July 25, 1991
She was a long time member of Saint Aidan's Church in Williston Park NY, New Hyde Park Knights of Columbus and VFW in Albertson, NY. She enjoyed spending time with family and being active in many charities.
Memorial services will be announced at a later time.
